Currently in its fourth season, the Kean University Orchestra, conducted by Warren Cohen, presents a program featuring music from the 17th, 19th, and 21st centuries. At the center of the concert is Cohen’s own Concerto for Marimba/Vibraphone and String Orchestra, performed by Kean alumnus, composer, and percussionist Stephen Myers. The program also includes Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 in B-flat Major and instrumental selections from Jean-Baptiste Lully’s 1685 opera Armide et Renaud, offering a journey through centuries of musical styles and traditions.
