The Slambovian Circus of Dreams Play The Atlantic Shore Pines Campground

(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Slambovian Circus of Dreams bring their rootsy, rockin' psychedelica to The Pavilion in the Pines Summer Concert Series on June 16th at 7:30pm, kicking off a summer of touring that ends with a month in the UK. The band's Thursday night show will be a mix of Slambovian classics and tunes from their newly released album, 'A Very Unusual Head." The show is presented by The Lizzie Rose Music Room.


NJPAC presents The Simon & Garfunkel Story in March

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents The Simon & Garfunkel Story on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 7:30pm. This immersive and transcendent experience chronicles the amazing journey shared by the folk-rock duo, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. The show tells the story from their humble beginnings when they were known as Tom & Jerry, to their incredible success as one of the best-selling music groups of the 1960s, to their dramatic split in 1970. It culminates with the famous “The Concert in Central Park” reunion in 1981 with more than a half-million fans in attendance.


The Devon Allman Project to Play Shows in Red Bank and Brooklyn

(RED BANK, NJ) -- The Devon Allman Project will kick off an extensive three-week tour at the Blues, Brews and BBQ festival in Syracuse, NY before heading to Jones Beach as support for Lynyrd Skynyrd on June 6.  The band will travel throughout the East Coast for several co-headlining performances with Samantha Fish Band and the Eric Krasno Band on select dates along with support from New Orleans legends Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Shows include stops at Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank on June 16 and the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn on June 17th. 


An Interview with Richie Furay, who has Two NJ Shows in June

Richie Furay — credited as one of the founders of country-rock — is coming to the New Jersey area in June, 2022 where he will play shows on June 11 at Alpha Wave Studios in Whippany and on June 12 at SOPAC in South Orange.

Due to a death in the family, the "Sound Bites" weekly column has ben postponed for this week. However, the listings of live music and entertainment are enclosed; we shall return on Thursday May 7 which happens to be the same day as the monthly "Rock On Radio" Happy Hour at the Nottingham Tavern located at 9 Mercer Street in Hamilton Square, NJ with music by Carmen Marranco.
