All-Star Ensemble of Jersey Musicians Seeks Your Support for Tiny Desk Concert Concert Series

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Recording artist Prince Derek Doll and two-time Grammy Award winning saxophonist Mark Gross (with the Dave Holland Big Band) have assembled an all-star Jersey ensemble of musicians to audition for NPR's iconic Tiny Desk Contest 2023. Voting is scheduled to end on or about April 21, 2023.

National Recording Registry Inducts Music from Madonna, Mariah Carey, Queen Latifah and More

Madonna's cultural ascent with "Like a Virgin," Mariah Carey's perennial No. 1 Christmas hit, Queen Latifah's groundbreaking "All Hail the Queen" and Daddy Yankee's reggaeton explosion with "Gasolina" are some of the defining sounds of the nation's history and culture that will now join the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress. The 2023 class also includes the first sounds of a video game to join the registry with the Super Mario Bros. theme, powerful voices of women, important inductions of Latin music, and classic sounds of rock and pop from the 1960s to the '80s.

Jonas Brothers release "Waffle House" single

(NEW YORK, NY) -- GRAMMY® Award-nominated powerhouse trio Jonas Brothers dropped their new single "Waffle House" via Republic Records on April 7th. It sets the stage for the launch of their sixth full-length record, The Album, on May 12th.

Christian Beach is offering 35% off his entire Bandcamp discography this weekend

Christian Beach, a longtime fixture of the New Jersey music scene, is celebrating the third anniversary of the release of his DoubleLife EP by offering fans (a little over) a third off his discography available on Bandcamp from Friday, April 7, through Monday, April 10. April 7 is another Bandcamp Friday, when the music distribution service waives its revenue share to help support artists, while April 10 marks the date of DoubleLife's release in 2020.

Cranston Dean to Release "Northern Town"

(ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) -- Cranston Dean will release his 6th album, Northern Town, on May 11, 2023. The singer-songwriter is sharing songs created over the span of several years and sharpened in front of live audiences in venues from New England to the Jersey Shore. The album will also be available for purchase on his website or from the artist directly at any of his shows in physical or digital form.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
