Bassist Bryan Beller – widely known for anchoring The Aristocrats (Beller + Guthrie Govan/gtr + Marco Minnemann/dr), Joe Satriani, Dethklok, Steve Vai and Mike Keneally – revisits and reimagines parts of his last solo album before both the birth of The Aristocrats and his seminal work Scenes From The Flood (2019), with the remix EP Calm Before The Storm.

A crowd of thousands was treated to a soulful journey that began with a powerful, poetic performance by Grammy artist Malik Yusef. The energy intensified as Monifah took the stage and Tia Holt followed, leading up to a show-stopping set by headliner Raheem DeVaughn.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in New Jersey after his family moved east in 1965, he grew up steeped in the sound and spirit of the music. On his father's side, JB traces his lineage back to Mississippi, the wellspring from which so much of this tradition flows. Those "Mississippi Roots" became more than just family history; they formed the bedrock of his artistic calling.
