Tift Merritt Shares "Last Day I Knew What To Do" — A Long-Lost Gem From The Tambourine Era

On July 25th, Tift Merritt shared "Last Day I Knew What To Do," a previously unreleased song from the original Tambourine recording sessions. Tracked with a full band and produced by George Drakoulias over two decades ago, the song was recorded for the album but was ultimately left off the final release. Now, 20 years later, it sees the light of day as part of Merritt's forthcoming collection Time and Patience, out August 29, 2025 via One Riot Records.

Joker's Republic to release "The Hand You've Been Dealt" via Punkerton Records

(ESSEX COUNTY, NJ) -- New Jersey’s high-energy ska punk trio Joker's Republic is back with their second full-length album, The Hand You've Been Dealt, set for release on October 10, 2025 via their new label home, Punkerton Records. Produced by ska-punk icon Roger Lima of Less Than Jake/Rehasher and mixed/mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Eric Taft, the album brings 12 punchy, infectious tracks that explore themes of identity, grief, politics, and mental health—all delivered with the band's signature humor and unforgettable hooks.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
