Yeat to Perform in NY and Philly

originally published: 12/06/2022

L.A. rap sensation Yeat announces upcoming North American tour supporting recent hit project LYFË. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on March 1st in Minneapolis, MN at The Armory; Yeat will perform his high-energy mosh pit anthems in 27 cities across the U.S. with two stops in Canada. Locally he will be at Knockdown Center in Queens, NY on Wednesday, March 8; The Fillmore in Philadelphia on Sunday, March 12; and Terminal 5 in New York City on Monday, March 13.

Tickets will be on sale to the public on December 9th at 10:00am local time at Twizzyrich.com.

LYFË, Yeat’s hit project, which he will be supporting on this tour, released in September to an impressive debut at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart marking his second release in 2022 to debut within the top 10. Consistently throughout the year, Yeat has been one of the most exciting rises in music to watch this year, from his viral Minions: The Rise of Gru moment taking over the internet to the rapid growth of his cult-like following based off his regular discography.

Immediately upon release, LYFË caught the attention of both Yeat’s underground fan base and mainstream media. VULTURE noted him as “one of the biggest breakouts of the year”, while BILLBOARD highlighted that “Yeat possesses a singular style that could make him a star”, and CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND asserted his recent releases made it clear that Yeat “isn’t going anywhere soon”. Now, he’s earned a spot as one of the top 50 streaming artists YTD for 2022 (alongside the likes of Drake, Eminem, Future and more) with over 2 billion streams in the U.S. alone and over 1.1 million albums sold in the U.S.

Low-fi melodies, distinctive vocals, clever cutting lyrics, and a distinctly mysterious persona are all highlights that build up the enigma that is Yeat. The rapper broke through in 2021 when his song “Gët Busy” began appearing in TikTok videos; the track became so ubiquitous that it caught the attention of heavyweight rappers including Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, and many more.

As his fame skyrocketed, so did the mania surrounding the artist’s fervent fan base, leading to the shutdown of his show in Los Angeles at The Roxy and later three consecutive sold-out nights at The Fonda. More recently, Spotify named Yeat their official Rap Caviar 2022 Rookie of the Year. Looking ahead, Yeat is in the studio working on his debut album, due out next year, which will inevitably continue pushing him to the forefront of the culture.
