originally published: 07/08/2024

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Ryan Castro and Blessd, powerhouse hitmakers and leaders of the new generation of Reggeaton hailing from Colombia, bring their joint U.S. tour "AY BENDITO GHETTO" - powered by Touring The World and Seitrack US - to the Prudential Center in Newark on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 8:00pm.

Pre-sale tickets will be available Wednesday, July 10th at 10:00am local time with the CODE: BENDITOGHETTO, followed by general sale tickets on Friday, July 12th. Tickets are available for purchase online. Prudential Center is located at 25 Lafayette Street in Newark, New Jersey.

As the anticipation builds for the “Ay Bendito Ghetto” tour, reggaeton enthusiasts eagerly await the opportunity to witness Ryan Castro’s and Blessd’s unmatched chemistry on stage. With a track record of delivering pure chart-topping hits such as “Envigado”, “Quien Tv Remix”, and “Lejania” in addition to captivating live performances, this marks the first time two Colombian urban acts collaborate to tour in the U.S.

“After seeing how our fans received our tour in Colombia together, I am looking forward to sharing the stage with Blessd once again. It has always been a dream of mine for my music to also be heard outside of my country and with this being my third tour in the U.S, shows that I am successfully exporting Colombian Reggeaton to key markets. With this collaborative venture, Blessd and I will continue representing our people and culture.”- Ryan Castro.

Both artists have previously toured the U.S market separately, Ryan Castro with his sold-out “Ghetto Star Tour” and Blessd with “Blessd Corner Tour.” Now with their joint North American trek, “AY BENDITO GHETTO,” named aptly after their nicknames, they add bigger venues and dates as a sign of their rapidly growing fanbases.

"This tour in the US with Ryan is something very special for me because together we gained recognition out of the same song, and have proven that through our collaborative work great results come about. Both our teams are very close and have a real brotherhood bond because we all know each other and have worked together in the past, so the shows we are going to give are going to be amazing!" ... Blessd mentions.

Along with the U.S Tour announcement, Ryan Castro continues to celebrate the success of his debut platinum certified album "El Cantante del Ghetto", which hit #1 Best-Selling Latin Music album during week of release, and latest hit "El Ritmo Que Nos Une", the official song for Colombia’s National soccer team for Copa America 2024. In addition, he recently unveiled his biggest tour throughout Colombia that includes his first show at the Movistar Arena in Bogota and La Macarena in Medellin.

As part of this tour, Blessd will continue to build on the success of his album "Si Sabe", which was ranked #1 on Spotify’s Global Album debut chart, and also reached #1 on Billboard's Latin AirPlay chart with the focus track "Si Sabe Ferxxo". Subsequently Blessd presented "1 OF 1", a collaborative album with superstar Maluma. An album that redefines Colombian music, marking a before and after in the history of the Colombian genre for the world. Adding to the excitement, he’s set to perform the global hit "Mírame" featuring Ovy on the Drums, which is currently ranked #126 on Spotify’s global chart, #62 on Shazam’s Global 200, and is currently positioned #1 in Colombia’s Radio Charts. Further solidifying his explosive presence on the international music scene.

The “Ay Bendito Ghetto” tour is brought to the US by Globalatino Music Partners / Cigol Music/ Dímelo Jara Company representing Blessd and AWOO Corp/WK Records/BC Management representing Ryan Castro.

Jazz

Jazz at the Morris Museum: Bassist/Vocalist Thaddeus Exposé Celebrates the Music and History of New Orleans

The City of New Orleans, obviously, holds a mythical status in the world of jazz. The genre (or at least the form with which listeners are familiar) was invented and developed there, and every jazz musician – from the swingiest to the most avant-garde – holds at least some debt to the bygone inhabitants of the Big Easy. However, while the city is rightfully revered for its place in jazz history, its musicians tell a more complicated story.
