Middletown Arts Center presents the MAC Music Café on Sunday

originally published: 01/31/2025

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center presents the MAC Music Café, monthly music showcase featuring singer-songwriters Dan Toye, Gwynne Alden, Kevin Liebkemann and Patrick Bamburak on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 4:00pm. The concert will take place in the MAC Theater. The event is free with a suggested donation of $5.

DAN TOYE has been playing and singing for many years. He recently retired after 37 years working in a paper mill, which accounts for the grit in his voice and the muscle in his original songs. He began appearing again 15 years ago when Espresso Joe’s in Keyport, N.J. opened its doors. Dan was the first artist to perform there and he’s been playing many area venues since then, while making a lot of friends in local live music. His CD, “Goin Home” has garnered much praise among fans and peers alike, and is available on Apple Music, iTunes, CD Baby and other streaming media as well as at his shows. Dan loves a live audience and they love him!

Starting at age six, GWYNNE ALDEN began singing in choir, plays, school and church. Her love for music developed even more strongly when she picked up the guitar at age 14 and began writing songs. Throughout college, her dedication to songwriting grew and recorded two albums. Upon graduating, she took her country music dream to Nashville and spent a year in Music City, writing, performing and growing as a singer, artist and human. Since 2020, she has moved back to NJ and put out an EP recorded in Nashville, “Somewhere Between Nashville and Jersey”. She currently is working on an album and frequently returns to Nashville to record and play gigs. You can find more info on Gwynne at Gwynne Alden Music on Facebook, Gwynne Alden on Instagram and Gwynne Alden on Spotify.

KEVIN LIEBKEMAN writes songs telling stories about love gone right, love gone wrong, all the little bumps in the road of life, and his primary vice (good food). He hosts the Seaside Ramblers, a jam group known for its lively sessions on the Seaside Boardwalk and its delicious potluck dinners. Kevin serves up his home-cooked songs at local shows, open mics and jams and you can keep up with him at Reverbnation.

PATRICK BAMBURAK is a veteran recording artist and media personality. Patrick’s solo album “Open Your Eyes” and newly released single “#Do You See Me” are available on iTunes, Apple Music and Amazon Music. Patrick also hosts the radio program “Patrick Bamburak’s Night Music” that airs weeknights from 10:00pm-2:00am Eastern Time on NEWHD New York, which can be streamed from NEWHDMedia.com or via the Apps that are available on Apple and Google Play. Patrick has appeared in both film and television, including a special Season 20 episode of Discovery Networks’ “Mysteries at the Museum: The Lindbergh Kidnapping” – which can be streamed on Discovery +. Patrick’s musical influences include songwriters such as Sting, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello and David Bowie.
