Mercer County's Friday Concert Series presents Queen Flash on August 2nd

originally published: 08/01/2024

(TRENTON, NJ) -- Mercer County's 2024 Friday Summer Concert Series has been a hit! With nearly 4,000 attendees in the first three weeks, the audiences have increased by 50% compared to last year.

For the first time, the Mercer County Park Commission has made parking free, and with tickets selling at just $5, and children under twelve admitted for free, the concerts are a great deal for any family looking for a fun night out.

And there are more great performances to come. The remaining four concerts in August will include Queen Flash, Funk Salsa Urban, the American Soul Band and a performance co-headlined by both Billy Joel and Elton John cover bands.

“It’s great to see so many Mercer County residents coming to the Summer Concerts,” said county Executive Dan Benson. “The free parking has clearly boosted attendance, and we’re always looking for steps we can take to make county programming affordable and accessible for all our residents. We have a world-class park system, and I’m always excited to showcase it to our residents.”

“We’re very proud of this year’s Summer Concert Series,” said Acting Mercer County Park Commission Executive Director Joe Pizza. “We’ve provided a diverse lineup of bands, spanning every musical genre, for our residents to enjoy at an affordable price. If you haven’t been to one of the performances yet, stop by on an upcoming Friday and enjoy a night of quality live entertainment.”
