Asbury Park-based Memory Music recording act Flycatcher hits the road on Sept. 19 for a two-week tour that takes them from Massachusetts to Michigan.

As a bon voyage, “Rust,” the latest single and video from “Stunt,” their five-song Memory Music debut EP, is the Makin Waves Song of the Week.

As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “Rust” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on Sept. 15 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives at The Penguin and MixCloud.

Memory Music is owned by Grammy-nominated producer Will Yip (Citizen, Title Fight, Turnover), who didn’t hesitate to sign the band after hearing their first two self-released albums, 2018’s “Other Things” and 2019’s “Songs for Strangers.”

The band — vocalist- guitarist Greg Pease, guitarist Justin VanNiekerk, bassist Jack Delle Cava and drummer Connor Carmelengo — kick off their tour in support of the emotive Welsh quintet Casey at the Palladium in Worcester. Local dates are Sept. 20 at Meadows in Brooklyn and Sept. 21 at Foundry@The Fillmore in Philadelphia. The tour then  takes Flycatcher to Virginia, Alabama, Ohio, Illinois and Michigan. In the midst of it they’ll play Sept. 23 at Bottlerocket in Pittsburgh with local band Eyewash.

Not long after they return home, Flycatcher will play The Happy Fits’ Happy Fest on Oct. 28 at The Wellmont Theater in Montclair with Asbury buds Dentist, plus fellow Jersey acts Vundabar, Phoneboy, Windser, Franklin Jonas, Hot Freaks, and The Spins.

“Stunt” also generated two other videos for “Always Selfish” and “Sodas in the Freezer.”
