Hopewell Theater Hosts Valentine's Weekend Show with James Maddock

originally published: 01/21/2022

(HOPEWELL, NJ) -- Hopewell Theater is heating up one night only this winter for a Valentine's Day Weekend pop-up show. On Saturday, February 12 at 8:00pm, James Maddock will play songs from his prodigious solo catalog and beyond. Maddock creates a musical stew of folk/rock and Americana with an ample dose of singer/songwriter voodoo thrown in for good measure.

Beyond his US debut on Columbia Records with his band Wood, James Maddock has released 8 solo records. In addition, he has become a constant touring presence both in the US and in Europe, and has performed with Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nile, Aaron Comess (Spin Doctors) and David Immergluck (Counting Crows). According to radio legend Vin Scelsa, Maddock’s “heartbreakingly beautiful and exquisitely crafted” music “touches the soul”.

Tickets to the February 12 show are available for purchase online, purchased at the box office or by calling (609) 466-1964.

The theater has taken the necessary precautions for the safety of its patrons, staff, and talent, including HVAC upgrades, thorough cleaning and sanitation before and after shows, and requiring all patrons, staff, and talent to wear a mask when inside the building.

As an update to safety protocol this year, all patrons, staff, and talent will also be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test using Bindle, Docket, or SmartHealth forms of verification. Read more about the theater’s Health & Safety Policy here.
