originally published: 08/03/2022

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Music icons and Motown legends, the Commodores, are coming to Asbury Park for a one-night-only show on Friday, September 2nd at Asbury Lanes. With 10 Grammy nominations, one Grammy Award and over 75 million albums sold worldwide, the Commodores are an American funk and soul band with hits including "Easy", "Three Times a Lady", and "Brick House".

Open to guests of all ages, the concert at Asbury Lanes will open doors at 7:00pm followed by performances from New Jersey natives, Riff, which will include a tribute to Motown. Other surprise local musicians are scheduled to make appearances during the evening as well.

The historic concert venue, located steps from the Asbury Park boardwalk, is offering guests and locals alike a VIP experience including an opportunity to meet the band ahead of the show, as well as receive access to an exclusive after party (the only one on their US tour) featuring jam sessions from local legends. Additionally, with purchase of a VIP Platinum ticket, attendees will also enjoy Lounge access, passed hors d'oeuvres, a drink package, valet parking, and more. Prices to the show range from $150 to $1,500. Tickets are available for purchase online.

For bites during and after the show, guests can head to Asbury Lanes Diner, the restaurant attached to Asbury Lanes serving quintessential Jersey diner food with a creative spin. Additionally, for those seeking overnight accommodations in Asbury Park, guests can book a stay at The Asbury, attached to Asbury Lanes, or at its ultra-luxury sister property, Asbury Ocean Club, located across the street.

As well as the incredible Commodores show, Asbury Lanes will be raising money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which is an organization providing voluntary after-school programs for all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. During the performance, Asbury Lanes will auction off a signed guitar for one lucky winner with donations going directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
