originally published: 08/08/2022

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Asbury Lanes presents glaive on Friday, September 23 at 8:00pm.  glaive is a vocalist, songwriter and producer from the mountains of North Carolina who began making music at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, releasing his first song on Soundcloud in April 2020. His rise since has been meteoric, supported by a steady stream of new music that has quickly earned him acclaim and a devoted following. aldn opens the night.

In June, glaive unveiled a new song, “minnesota" alongside a Ramez Silyan-directed video.

"This was the second song I made for the glaive album. Making ‘minnesota’ was a weight off my shoulders because I realized that I was still good at music. It’s the perfect song for the next phase of my career and life."

“minnesota” is the latest in what’s been a whirlwind rise for glaive. The 17-year-old artist’s three EPs to date—cypress groveall dogs go to heaven (plus its deluxe edition old dog, new tricks) and then i’ll be happy with ericdoa—have received widespread critical acclaim, landing him in the top of Best Of lists from The New York TimesThe FADER and more. Most recently, he collaborated with Machine Gun Kelly on “more than life.”

Tickets for the show at Asbury Lanes range from $25-$30 and are available for purchase online.  Asbury Lanes is located at 209 4th Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
