All That Jazz In June

(RAHWAY, NJ) -- It’s not often that you hear and see National and Internationally recognized performers in a state-of-the-art concert venue of less than 200 seats, but Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) in collaboration with WBGO 88.3 radio, and Smooth Jazz New Jersey are about to make that happen in a three part “All That Jazz” series.

The recently re-opened and refurbished Hamilton Stage, the sister stage of UCPAC’S Main Stage, in Rahway will host an array of jazz forms in an almost private concert setting.

All That Jazz In June

* June 1 - Starts with renowned guitarist Stanley Jordan and his band playing a unique interpretation of Stanley Plays the Grateful Dead. Stanley, who has 4 Grammy nominations is considered by most a guitar genius who can play rhythm and lead at the same time.

* June 8 - The Dizzy Gillespie All Stars led by Grammy Winning bassist John Lee along with special guest and 15-time Grammy Winner Paquito D’ Rivera. Expect some classic Dizzy from the incredible trumpet of Freddie Hendricks mixed with the unmistakable Latin grooves of Paquito d’ Rivera’s clarinet and saxophone.

All That Jazz In June

* June 15 - Vincent Ingala rounding out the series is one of the fastest emerging contemporary artist in recent history. As a multi instrumentalist, composer, and producer still in his twenties, Vincent has garnished 3 number one singles, and ten singles making it to Billboards top 10 charts.
