Makin Waves Song of the Week: “Change” by Tom Kanach

Congrats to Tom Kanach whose title track to his “Change” EP is the Makin Waves Song of the Year, thereby also makin’ it an encore Song of the Week.

As the Makin Waves Song of the Week and Year, “Change” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 on “Radio Jersey” at ThePenguinRocks.com. 

Also the 2021 Makin Waves Male Artist of the Year and Best EP winner, Tom can be enjoyed live Jan. 7 at Asbury Park Yacht Club at a Light of Day show that also will feature DJ Pete Santiago, as well as Torture and the Desert Spiders. This free show will feature a $10 commemorative T-shirt with Asbury icon Tilly on the front and show details on back. If you can’t make the show, the T-shirt can be purchased at www.tomkanach.com. For every T-shirt purchased, the band will donate $15 to Light of Day Foundation’s battle against Parkinson’s disease. 

Tom Kanach Band also will play Jan. 22 at Pino’s in Highland Park with The Fletchers and Our Marvelous Lives. In May, the band will be at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park with Everlounge, DJ Pete, and a special guest to be announced.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August.
