Light of Day WinterFest North Jersey Show In Montclair Has Been Postponed

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- On December 31, 2021, Outpost in the Burbs announced that the Light of Day WinterFest 2022, North Jersey “Songwriters in the Round” has been postponed until further notice due to the current Covid-19 situation. Tickets for the January 7th show will be honored at the future date, TBD. Patrons may re-quest a refund by sending an email to info@outpostintheburbs.org. Outpost in the Burbs regrets any inconvenience and hopes that everyone stays safe. 

The lineup for the January 7th show included Glen Burtnik and Bob Burger of The Weeklings, Jeffrey Gaines, James Maddock, Grammy nominee Guy Davis, “Blue Americana” (Glenn Alexander of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes and Oria Aspen) and host, Joe D’Urso.

The mission of The Light of Day Foundation is to fund research into possible cures, improved treatments and support for patients who suffer from those illnesses, their families and their caregivers to help improve their quality of life. The primary fundraising efforts are an annual series of concerts held in Asbury Park, NJ. Since its inception in 2000, Light of Day has raised over $5.75 million in the fight to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. What began as a single concert in New Jersey has grown into approximately seventy shows in thirteen countries on 3 continents including North America, Europe and Australia!

Outpost in the Burbs is an all-volunteer nonprofit outreach organization in Montclair dedicated to building community through music, service, and cultural events. For over 30 years, the Outpost has presented more than 450 concerts by internationally known artists such as Judy Collins, Roger McGuinn,, Jorma Kaukonen, Jimmy Webb, Richie Havens, The Jayhawks, Nick Lowe, and Dar Williams. In addition to presenting concerts, Outpost volunteers have donated many hours of their time through programs affiliated with Toys for Tots, the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair, the Community Food Bank of N.J., Dress for Success, MESH (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless), and a soup kitchen run by Outpost volunteers in Orange, NJ.

Bruce Springsteen Archives presents "Music America: Iconic Objects from America's Music History" at LBJ Presidential Library

(AUSTIN, TX) - Since the nation's inception nearly two and a half centuries ago, music has informed, interpreted, and inspired our national identity. To celebrate and explore this remarkable heritage, the LBJ Presidential Library and the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University announce the premiere of the exhibition Music America: Iconic Objects from America's Music History. Opening at the LBJ Presidential Library on Saturday, February 17, during Presidents' Day weekend, the exhibition will be on display through August 11, 2024.
