Asbury Park Music Foundation To Hold Pop-Up Acoustic Concert With Pat Guadagno and Carolann Solebello

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) --  The Asbury Park Music Foundation will present a pop-up acoustic concert on Sunday, October 17 featuring one of New Jersey's favorite troubadours, Pat Guadagno, who will be performing with legendary musician Richie Blackwell.  Singer/songwriter Carolann Solebello will be the opening performer for Songs on St. John’s.

Showtime is from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and gates will open at 1:15pm. Tickets can be purchased through this link to the APMF Ticketbud site.  Proceeds from ticket sales, snacks, water, and Music Saved Asbury Park merchandise will benefit APMF music education programs for under-served youth in Asbury Park. St. John’s Island is located in Sunset Lake off Grand Avenue between Fifth and Sunset Avenues in Asbury Park.

Pat Guadagno, a staple of the Jersey Shore music scene, has shared the stage with such diverse legends as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Peter Paul & Mary, BB King, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Don Imus, Tanya Tucker, Graham Parker, the Mavericks, Delbert McClinton, Keb’ Mo’, and Jorma Kaukenan (none of whom were aware of his presence, according to Guadagno).

Carolann Solebello is a performing songwriter born and bred in New York City. Best known to folk audiences as a founding member of Red Molly, she now tours both solo and with No Fuss and Feathers. She is a member of the Jack Hardy Songwriters’ Exchange and has won numerous songwriting awards. Carolann released her fifth solo album, Shiver, in February 2018.

Audience members will need to bring their own beach chairs or a blanket. Limited snacks and water will be available for purchase or you can bring your own. Due to space constraints, dogs will not be allowed. There is parking in many locations surrounding Sunset Park (both metered and free) or you can walk or ride your bike. Please note that donations will graciously be accepted, but a ticket is required for entry.  In the event of rain, the show will be rescheduled for October 24th. This show is being presented by the Asbury Park Music Foundation and supported by the City of Asbury Park and Musicians on a Mission.

Paul Rodgers put out a statement on his Facebook saying something to the effect of, it's good to see a young guitar player like Sean paying tribute to one of the best Chicago Blues players ever. Hubert was one of the best string benders ever or something like that; basically giving me props for paying tribute to Hubert."
