Free event: MPAC Arts in the Community presents Lucas Perez -That Saxophone Guy with the Nick Ryan Trio at Vail Mansion Plaza on Wednesday, July 28 at 6:30pm. Lucas Perez (That Saxophone Guy) is a saxophonist and performer from Somerville who has shared the stage with legendary R&B artists such as Toni Braxton and Ginuwine. Nick Ryan is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, instructor, and producer from New Jersey. With a sound ranging from the "heartland rock" of Asbury Park to "Memphis soul and modern pop, there's a taste of familiarity with his own originality. Rainsite: St. Peters Church
On the MPAC Mainstage: Almost U2: Achtung Baby 30th Anniversary Tribute on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 7:30pm. Almost U2 is one of the most exciting, sought after tribute acts to hit the scene in years! They recreate "U2" like no other tribute band, honoring the music and live experience of U2's 40+ year career! In this concert, they will commemorate the 30th anniversary of U2's 1991 artistic masterpiece, Achtung Baby, as well as many other U2 hits. In-Venue tickets $25-$30; Livestream available for: $20
On sale this week: Steely Dan is coming to MPAC for 4 concerts in November; tickets go onsale Friday, July 30 at 10:00am: Steely Dan: The Absolutely Normal Tour 2021 - Wednesday-Thursday, Nov. 3-4; Saturday-Sunday, November 6-7 at 8:00pm. Steely Dan will perform a four-night residency at MPAC! Each night the band will perform from a different classic album: The Royal Scam (Nov. 3); Gaucho (Nov. 4), selected hits from Northeast Corridor: Steely Dan Live!, their soon to be released greatest hits live album (Nov. 6), and Aja (Nov. 7). Tickets range from $106.50-$206.50.
