(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Lyle Lovett and His Large Band on Friday, August 4 at 8:00pm. A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Beach Boys on July 29th

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents The Beach Boys on Saturday, July 29 at 8:00pm. Since the band's co-founder, lead-singer, and chief lyricist Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys' first hit, "Surfin'" (1961), dozens of the bands chart toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth: "Surfin' USA," "Surfer Girl," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "I Get Around," "California Girls," "Help Me Rhonda," "Barbara Ann," "Good Vibrations," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "Rock and Roll Music," and "Kokomo."

MPAC presents Laurel Canyon Band - A Tribute to Crosby Still, Nash & Young

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Enjoy the iconic music of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, played to perfection by Laurel Canyon Band, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC). Featuring recreations of their seminal works as well as songs from their early bands and their solo years, Laurel Canyon is a trio consisting of Grammy Award winning writer/producer Mark Hudson, Hall of Fame Songwriter Gary Burr, and singer songwriter Mark Mirando. Showtime is 8:00pm.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.
