(NEW YORK, NY) -- Broadway Bound Kids (BBK) will hold its Fourth Annual Benefit Concert, Empower State of Mind on Monday, February 2, 2026 in the mainstage at City Winery. The evening will celebrate the empowering impact of arts education in young lives as well as their community. The dazzling night is in exaltation of the influence of the "city that never sleeps" and New York City's greatest contribution to theater – Broadway. Showtime is 7:30pm.
The benefit concert will feature performances by Broadway Guest Stars, BBK's accomplished Teaching Artists, and the talents of BBK students. The unforgettable night will also include auctions, games, raffles, cocktails, and plenty of tunes supporting arts education. This year in addition to the Broadway Bound Legacy Award that was introduced last year to honor foundations that have proven their unwavering support of arts education, BBK is also presenting the Broadway Bound Inspiration Award in its inaugural year to celebrate a legend's career accomplishments and leadership in the arts and theater.
The event raises critical funds to support BBK programs; Community Theater Ensembles, tuition-free Summer initiatives, and the BBK Bridge to Higher Education workshop, which provide 100% tuition-free access to performing arts for middle and high school students across New York City. Even with loss of funding in 2025, BBK strives to empower student voices and create new programs that enrich our students' experiences through accessible arts education. 2025 has been a year of immense growth for Broadway Bound Kids — serving over 2,000 students in nearly 50 schools across all 5 boroughs with an impressive roster of over 50 Teaching Artists.
Tickets are available for purchase online. City Winery is located at 25 11th Avenue (Pier 57) in New York, NY.
Established in 2004, Broadway Bound Kids is a nonprofit that provides performing arts education to young people in a supportive and inclusive environment. They offer Pre-K to 12th-grade students in-school performing arts residencies, community-based workshops, summer programs, master classes with Broadway professionals, full-scale musical productions, and trips to see Broadway shows.
Broadway Bound Kids seek to ensure access to the performing arts for all children, regardless of their financial resources. Our teaching methods focus on enhancing technical skills, social-emotional learning, confidence, connection, mindfulness, and creativity. Social justice is central to their programming and organizational culture. They work to break down societal and financial barriers to the arts for youth, their families, and communities. Broadway Bound Kids seeks to cultivate a diverse community of open hearts and minds amongst the youth of New York City and beyond, enabling every student to realize their full potential on stage and off.
