(WAYNE, NJ) -- Old Library Theatre presents The Wolves with three performances from December 12-14, 2025 at Preakness Reformed Church in Wayne. A sold-out Off-Broadway smash, the 2017 Pulitzer Prize finalist The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe is a portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls.
"Left quad! Right quad! Lunge!"
From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, a high school girls’ indoor soccer team- The Wolves- warms up. As the teammates prepare in sync, a symphony of overlapping dialogue spills out their innermost thoughts, ranging from the importance of next week's game to the toxic trap of body image to... Martin Luther King Jr. and genocide.
Performances take place Friday, December 12 at 7:30pm; Saturday, December 13 at 7:30pm; and Sunday, December 14 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. Preakness Reformed Church is located at 131 Church Lane in Wayne, New Jersey.
Sarah DeLappe’s play The Wolves (Pulitzer Prize finalist; Lortel, Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Play/Emerging Playwright; Relentless Award, Sky Cooper New American Play Prize; Susan Smith Blackburn and Yale Prize finalist) premiered at The Playwrights Realm, following an engagement with New York Stage and Film, and development with Clubbed Thumb.
