(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company proudly continues its commitment to bold, transformative storytelling with Tony Kushner's Angels in America, Part 2: Perestroika, running from June 6-22, 2025. Directed by Matthew Weil, this landmark production delivers the riveting conclusion to Kushner's Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning epic.
Winner of the 1994 Tony Award for Best Play, Perestroika deepens and expands the story begun in Millennium Approaches. As the AIDS crisis intensifies, the characters grapple with love, loss, political upheaval, and spiritual transformation. Old relationships fracture and new alliances form in a sweeping narrative that is, as Frank Rich of The New York Times wrote, “a true millennial work of art, uplifting, hugely comic and pantheistically religious in a very American style.”
Performances take place Friday, June 6 at 8:00pm; Saturday, June 7 at 8:00pm; Sunday, June 8 at 2:00pm; Friday, June 13 at 8:00pm; Saturday, June 14 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; Sunday, June 15 at 2:00pm; Wednesday, June 18 at 7:30pm; Friday, June 20 at 8:00pm; Saturday, June 21 at 8:00pm; and Sunday, June 22 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The Ritz Theatre Company is located at 915 White Horse Pike in Haddon Township, New Jersey.
Content Advisory: This production contains mature language, racial and ableist slurs, references to explicit sexual situations, full nudity, and depictions of violence, illness, and death. Recommended for ages 18 and up.

Critics have hailed Perestroika as “playful and profound, extravagantly theatrical and deeply spiritual, witty and compassionate, furious and incredibly smart” (Newsday). Audiences moved by the first installment will find a powerful and necessary resolution in this unforgettable second part.
