Mahwah Museum Hosts "Les Paul's 110th Birthday Celebration Tribute Concert" on June 7th

originally published: 05/14/2025

(MAHWAH, NJ) -- The Mahwah Museum hosts Les Paul's 110th Birthday Celebration Tribute Concert, on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Ramapo College of New Jersey's H-Wing Auditorium (505 Ramapo Valley Road) in Mahwah. The event runs from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

This exciting event honors Mahwah’s own legendary innovator and music icon, Les Paul, whose groundbreaking inventions and artistry forever changed the landscape of music. The concert will feature three dynamic acts, DnA, Ed Laub Quartet, and Tom and Sandy Doyle, celebrating Les Paul’s enduring legacy.

DnA (Dani Zanoni and Alex Kerssen) is an acoustic duo from North Jersey that delivers heartfelt performances blending vocals and acoustic guitar with hits from the ‘60s to today, alongside original songs by Dani. DnA brings a fresh, contemporary vibe to the celebration of Les Paul’s timeless influence.

Ed Laub Quartet: A respected local talent, Ed Laub brings smooth vocals and masterful 7-string guitar work to the stage. Known for his work alongside jazz great Bucky Pizzarelli, Laub offers interpretations of the Great American Songbook and Brazilian classics, carrying the torch of the jazz guitar tradition Les Paul helped to define. Joining him will be Jerry Vezza on piano, Hal Slapin on bass, and John Vourtsis on the drums.

Tom and Sandy Doyle: Get an intimate look at Les Paul’s life and legacy through this unique tribute by Tom Doyle, Les Paul's right-hand man of over 45 years, and his wife and stage partner, Sandy Doyle. Combining captivating storytelling, virtuosic guitar work, and vocal harmonies reminiscent of Mary Ford, the Doyles deliver a tribute that’s part concert, part living history. Tom shares firsthand tales and music from his decades with Les, offering fans a rare peek behind the scenes of one of music’s greatest legends.
