(PHOENIXVILLE, PA) -- The historic Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA is excited to host one of its most important fundraisers of the year in support of a critical restoration project for its iconic 1903 Theatre. On Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 8:00pm, the Colonial will host the Floydian Trip: Brick by Brick to Benefit the 1903 Theatre event, a special concert fundraiser dedicated to raising money for the preservation and restoration of the cherished cultural landmark.

The night features a live performance from Pink Floyd tribute band Floydian Trip, proceeds from all ticket sales will directly fund the essential repointing of the west brick wall. The vital work will ensure the 1903 Theatre can continue to be a venue to host concerts, movie screenings, and a variety of other entertainment events for years to come.

Formed in 2022, Floydian Trip is a seven-member tribute band dedicated to recreating the energy of Pink Floyd’s classic tours. Drawing on everything from official releases to rare bootleg recordings, the group aims to deliver an authentic experience grounded in musical detail and respect for the original performances. Their 2025 tour focuses on honoring the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, bringing fans an authentic tribute to one of rock’s most enduring albums.

Tickets for the fundraiser start at $50 and are available for purchase online. The Colonial Theatre is located at 227 Bridge Street in Phoenixville, PA.

Originally built in 1902, the Colonial is the last surviving of the theatres that once existed in Phoenixville and is the only theatre of its kind in Chester County. The theatre, originally named the Colonial Opera House, debuted its inaugural stage performance in 1903 and was home to live stage shows by Harry Houdini and Mary Pickford, vaudeville acts, and musicals. The Colonial Theatre not only survived both World Wars and the Great Depression but became a national treasure after appearing in several scenes in the 1958 sci-fi horror classic The Blob.

After renovating and expanding into the adjacent former National Bank of Phoenixville building in 2017, the Colonial now consists of three theatres housed in two connected historic buildings. The older wing of the Colonial Theatre houses the box office and the 658-seat 1903 Theatre, one of only a few theatres left across the country equipped for both 35mm and 2K digital projection. The treasured 1903 Theatre offers a stunning, one-of-a-kind experience for moviegoers or live event attendees. Guests can walk the same aisles as vaudeville greats and film stars of days gone by.

One of the region’s premiere non-profit arts organizations, The Colonial Theatre (227 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460), is situated in the heart of downtown Phoenixville. The iconic theatre, a donor and member-supported institution, operates three distinct venues and multiple event spaces in two adjoining historic buildings. Known internationally as the mother of Blobfest, which annually celebrates the theatre’s role in the 1958 sci-fi classic, The Blob, The Colonial attracts more than 70,000 patrons per year to its eclectic programming of popular, new movies, beloved film favorites, live music, comedy, and community events.
