(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University has several events remaining in March and early April including exhibitions by seniors Lauren Olson, Luke Shannon and Petr Karpov; a Performing the Peace, film screening and performance; reading by Khaled Mattawa and Hiroko Oyamada with translator David Boyd; choreopoem by Carrington Johnson; a dance concert; and performances of an updated version of the She Loves Me musical.
Literature to Life to Hold Gala Events in New York City and Washington, DC
Literature to Life (LTL) will host spring gala events in both New York City and Washington, D.C., featuring live performances, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and more. The proceeds from both events will benefit the organization's extensive work in schools and help Literature to Life expand educational opportunities for NYC- and D.C.-area students. The New York City event will take place on Monday, April 15 at Scandinavia House, and the Washington, D.C. event will take place on Monday, May 6 at the Edlavitch Jewish Community Center.

Middlesex College Will Offer a Free Community Journalism Certificate Program This Summer
(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ) -- Middlesex College is launching a certificate program this summer, starting June 2024, to train students to become active contributors to local news in Middlesex County. Middlesex College is one of just four community colleges selected by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities (NJCH) and Journalism + Design at The New School (J+D) to co-develop and launch certificate programs in community journalism across the state.
Newark Arts Announces 2024 ArtStart Grants Are Open For Submissions
(NEWARK, NJ) -- The 2024 ArtStart Grant Program is officially underway, and Newark Arts is inviting cultural organizations, schools and artists to submit proposals. The grant affords each recipient an opportunity to receive up to $3,000 in funding to support art-led, community conscious ideas that will enhance the cultural vibrancy of Newark's neighborhoods. ArtStart was launched in 2001 with the mission to support arts and cultural activities throughout the city of Newark with a spotlight on youth and underserved populations. Since its inception, ArtStart has awarded over half a million dollars to over 500 grant recipients.
Arts Ed NJ Launches Pilot Youth Arts Education Advocacy Council and Announces Two Youth Summits in April 2024
(BURLINGTON, NJ) -- Arts Ed NJ is excited to announce a new pilot initiative, the Youth Arts Education Council. Arts Ed NJ, the statewide unifying arts education advocacy organization and central resource for arts education information and policy in New Jersey, has recruited a dynamic group of 11 dedicated high school student arts leaders who are supported by 35 student council members all passionate about advocating for arts education across New Jersey.
