Visual Arts Center of New Jersey Launches Newest Artist-in-Residence Program with Gabriella D'Italia

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey (VACNJ) will launch its newest rendition of its Artist-in-Residence program on March 9, 2026, with artist and Master Gardener Gabriella D'Italia. During her residency, D'Italia will use studio space at the Art Center to explore the intersection of her artistic and gardening practices.



Curate NJ presents "Fingerprints"

(RARITAN, NJ) -- Curate NJ presents "Fingerprints" - a show that invites visitors to look closely at the marks people leave on the world. Through painting, mixed media, and photography, the artists reflect our shared environment. Visitors will see how people and nature share the same spaces. The exhibit is on display from March through June 2026.



Princeton Makes to host an Art Making Open House on March 8th

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes, the Princeton based Art Cooperative, invites the community to a day dedicated to hands-on art making for all ages on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the new Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center. Art House Productions Announces Call for Artists for "In the Wind," A 25th Anniversary Public Art Installation

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions has announced a Call for Artists for In the Wind, a large-scale public art installation celebrating the organization's 25th Anniversary. Curated by Tina Maneca and presented as part of the A.R.T. Phase II NJEDA Program, the installation will transform Lincoln Park in Jersey City into a dynamic outdoor exhibition of contemporary artwork.



Riverside Gallery presents "Place within Abstraction"

(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Riverside Gallery presents Place within Abstraction, a group exhibition featuring paintings of Kwang-hyun Kim, Adem Gjonbalaj, Sungmo Cho, Jamie Joe, and Young M. Kim. The exhibition runs from March 7-25, 2026 and puts together a dialogue of artists who engage with abstraction at various levels of visual language, including minimalist reduction, maximalist addition, lyrical abstraction and others in between.

There is never a good time to learn that your town is facing a budget shortfall of a quarter billion dollars. But getting the bad news in the winter of 2026 is particularly dispiriting. Jersey City has very little latitude for error. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been operating on these streets. As we've seen our neighbors taken away in unmarked cars, we know we're looking at the possibility of a long, combative summer. Pushing back against a force as overwhelming as the federal government is going to require more than coordination and compassion. We're going to need resources. And the town, as JCAST curator Atim Oton warned us before Studio Tour 2025, is broke.

Arden Children's Theatre presents "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- This spring, Arden Children's Theatre invites families into a hilariously twisted world where classic fairy tales don't go quite as expected in its next production of the 2025/26 season, The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales (The Stinky Cheese Man). Based on the beloved book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, adapted by John Glore, the production brings the book's fractured fairy tales to life for kids and adults alike. Directed by Steve Pacek, the production runs on the Arden’s Arcadia stage with previews starting April 8, opening night on April 18, with performances running through May 31.
