Williams Honor Celebrates Latest Album With The WH eXpo: 3-Night Asbury Park Event

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- After a successful Nashville release show during CMA Fest for their new album released this past June 15th, Williams Honor, comprised of Reagan Richards and Gordon Brown, return home to prepare for their most expansive event yet, celebrating all things WH. The WH eXpo will take place July 20-22 throughout the town that raised them in three separate Asbury Park venues, The Showroom Cinema, The Berkeley Carteret Hotel, and The Saint, celebrating the things they love most. It is sponsored by Vaccaro 2.0 and Asbury Films.

Gordon leads off night one with a new live series being filmed for later broadcast, based on the craft of record making. “I’ve been looking forward to doing something like this for a long time, especially because I learned how to be a musician, make records and write songs by listening, watching, and being inspired by everyone from our area.” says Brown.

Night 1 JERSEY PRODUCE takes place at The Showroom Cinema on Cookman Ave and is an interview /seminar about record making with the freshest producers from the area. Gordon hosts and discusses his love for producing with three of the area’s finest musicians, engineers, producers, and mixers. He chose to kick off off the series with those he highly admires. Scheduled on the panel for Wednesday July 20th at 7:00pm will be Joey DeMaio of Long Branch’s Shorefire Studio, Jack Daley of Asbury Park’s Dug Deep Studio, and Stephen DeAcutis of Edison’s Soundspa Studio.

Night 2 The eX RELEASE CELEBRATION brings us inside The Berkeley Carteret Hotel at Johnny and June (aptly named after Johnny Cash and June Carter and their history with Asbury and the hotel) to a red carpet see and be seen opening.

Williams Honor and their full band celebrate the new album by performing the whole collection in its entirety, plus first album WH favorites. Band members include Scott Bradoka, Ron Haney, Tom Cottone, Brian Gearty, Bobby Mahoney, Emily Grove, and Arne Wendt, many of whom play throughout the region and have their own artist careers. “Our band represents some of the very best artists and musicians from our area. We are true fans of all of them and every time we hit the stage together we always have big smiles on our faces hearing our songs come to life”, says Reagan Richards.

Night 3 G&R eX’s and HO’s takes us inside The Saint, 601 Main St where Reagan will lead a fierce band of special guests through her favorite rock covers and some new WH eX material. This venue is where Reagan and Gordon first were introduced after a fabled night of Gordon walking in late after Reagan’s set, missing it completely. However, The Saint’s Meg Donahue Kelly still managed to introduce them for the first time and made them aware of their common Nashville connections yet couldn’t believe they had never met. “We plan on re-enacting that moment for the whole WHArmy and celebrating by having a night of fist pumping, headbanging and feet stomping!” says Richards.

Williams Honor started off their first album cycle at The Paramount Theatre during Light of Day, singing on the finale with Springsteen, then got their first Top 30 with No Umbrella and won Best Music Video for Send it to Me at The Asbury Park Music and Film Festival, ending the three year run at Madison Square Garden opening for newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Bon Jovi.

They pivoted during the pandemic and created The WilliHo Show, which became Pollstar’s #24 Year end International Livestream of 2020, with over 50 episodes, many of which ended up in the top 10 each week.

Richards and Brown return with a new concept album, “eX”, their sophomore 14 song collection, which will reveal pieces of career history and influence. Featured tracks and video singles are slated for “Can’t Wait 2 B Ashamed”, “Goodbye Tulsa” , and “First”. The album also includes a remake of the thirty year old song that Gordon wrote for his first national touring act mR rEALITY, called “In My Yard”.

The new album is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal, and everywhere digital music is streamed or sold.

One, two, and three day passes are available for purchase online.  General admission ranges from $32-$69.  Doors open at 7:00pm each night.
