State Theatre New Jersey presents One Vision of Queen Featuring Marc Martel

originally published: 06/05/2025

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents One Vision of Queen featuring Marc Martel on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 8:00pm. Tickets range from $39-$118.

In 2012, Queen’s Roger Taylor and Brian May handpicked singer Marc Martel to take on the lead vocals for their Queen tribute tour known as the Queen Extravaganza. His audition video of "Somebody to Love" garnered 13 million views on YouTube. Martel not only sounds dead-on like Freddie Mercury, but he embodies the heart-and-soul Freddie poured into every song that he performed. Taylor remarked “That voice. You listen, close your eyes and you think it’s Freddie. It’s really uncanny.”

One Vision of Queen is a unique tribute where some of the most iconic rock anthems of all time collide with a theatrical performance style and eye-catching production. At its core, the riveting show setlist features some of the band's greatest hits, including fan favorite Bohemian Rhapsody, adrenaline-pumping “We Will Rock You,” “We Are The Champions,” “Another One Bites The Dust,” the stadium-shaking David Bowie collaboration “Under Pressure,” the soulful “Somebody To Love” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”

Tickets range from $39-$118 and are available for purchase online or by calling State Theatre Guest Services at 732-246-SHOW (7469). State Theatre Guest Services, located at 15 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick NJ, is open by phone and email only, Tuesday through Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm. For in-person purchases, Guest Services is open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00pm to 4:30pm. Additional ticket and transaction fees may apply.

After major renovations, State Theatre New Jersey celebrated its 100th Anniversary in December 2021 in a fully renovated theater. Originally built as a silent film and vaudeville palace, State Theatre’s historic significance was honored by PBS by featuring it in its documentary series, Treasures of New Jersey, in the fall of 2018. Treasures of New Jersey: State Theatre New Jersey can be streamed online.
