Rowan's Marie Rader Series presents Timbalooloo: Jazz for Kids (A Relaxed Performance)

originally published: 02/05/2025

(GLASSBORO, NJ) -- Families with little ones are invited to Timbalooloo, a lively and interactive world/jazz music program from renowned clarinetist and educator Oran Etkin, presented by Rowan's Marie Rader Series, Sunday, March 15, 2025 at Pfleeger Concert Hall. Admission is free for children 12 and under. Showtime is 2:00pm.

Designed to engage audiences of all ages, Etkin leads a journey around the world to explore different instruments as told through the story of “Clara Net,” who falls asleep and goes to a concert in her bed as instruments come to life. Timbalooloo seeks to empower a new generation to become fluent in the universal language of music and discover how global cultures form the backbone of American music. This event is FREE for children 12 and under.

This presentation of Timbalooloo will be offered as a Relaxed Performance to accommodate audience members with physical and cognitive disabilities while delivering an enjoyable experience for all.

Tickets are $30 for general admission; $20 for Subscribers, Seniors (55+), Glassboro Residents, Military (retired & active), Rowan Employees, Rowan Alumni, ADA Accessible Seating, Students (Non-Rowan); and free for children under 12 and Rowan Students.  Tickets are available for purchase online. Pfleeger Concert Hall is a wheelchair-accessible venue with accessible parking and routes. For additional information on accommodations, please click here.

Focused on community engagement, artistic integrity, and inclusion, the Marie Rader Series is a mission-driven program providing access to exceptional performing artists through engagements for the university community and Greater Southern New Jersey region.

The Marie Rader Presenting Series is made possible in part through generous support from the Henry M. Rowan Family Foundation via the Marie Rader Memorial Fund and through funding from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
