Ridgewood Student Awarded Performing Arts: Dance Scholarship from National Society of High School Scholars

originally published: 02/06/2026

(RIDGEWOOD, NJ) -- Isabella Addison Peronne, a classical ballet dancer and member of the Kolotov Youth Ballet Company, was recently named a recipient of the Performing Arts: Dance Scholarship from National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), which recognizes students pursuing advanced studies in the performing arts.

Isabella trains under Ballet Master Konstantin Kolotov and Ballet Mistress Arina Kolotova and continues to build her technique through weekly private lessons and company training. She recently performed a classical ballet variation en pointe at the Kolotov Youth Ballet Company's Spring Repertory Show on June 1, 2025, held at the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts at Ramapo College.

Her passion for the arts began at an early age, inspired by watching Angelina Ballerina as a toddler. Over time, her interests expanded to include dancing, singing, and acting. Isabella credits the artistic communities of New York City and Washington, D.C. with giving her the confidence to pursue storytelling through performance. She says, "Art helps people make sense of the world, and that is something I want to be part of."

Isabella is also committed to supporting fellow artists. After connecting with the Episcopal Actors' Guild and receiving the Claire Strakosch Scholarship, she used the award funds to support her ballet training. She is involved with en pointe bels, a public charity that donates theatre wardrobes to young performing artists in New York City and Washington, D.C.

The NSHSS Performing Arts: Dance Scholarship honors students who demonstrate artistic dedication, discipline, and a commitment to continued growth in the performing arts.
