Ocean County Library Waretown Branch to Display Nature Photos by Don Edwards

originally published: 04/23/2025

(WARETOWN, NJ) -- Gain a new view and a deep appreciation of southern Ocean County's natural beauty. The Ocean County Library Waretown Branch presents an exhibit by award winning photographer Don Edwards, "Nature in Ocean County," May 5 through June 30, 2025.

“The series…I have selected for this exhibit depict scenes using lighting, color, textures and perspectives showing the unique beauty of our world,” especially southern Ocean County and Waretown, Don said, adding that he favors early morning or late day light for their dramatic accents.

“Cityscapes, bridges…come to life in the evening as the lights help define their impressive structures and presence,” he said. “You will have the opportunity to view and appreciate the wonders of astro photography, the beauty of sunrises and sunsets, amazing wildlife, [and] landscapes that make our area so unique.”

Since entering freelance photography in 1974, Don Edwards has earned eight selections to nonmember exhibits in Manhattan’s exclusive Salmagundi Art Club. His photos appear in the NJ350 Elements project and book, enhance the décor of St. Barnabas Hospital, Livingston, and have been displayed in Morristown’s Morris Museum, the Sussex County Fair and Nature Photographer online magazine. Followers find Don’s photographic art on web platforms including Instagram and Fine Art America.

The “Nature in Ocean County” photo exhibit is free and open to the public during normal Branch operating hours. For more information, visit or call the OCL Waretown Branch, 112 Main Street, (609) 693-5133. See the full schedule of Library programs in the online Calendar of Events.
