From The NEW Bardots’ newest full-length album, “Endless Drool,” comes the new single and title track, a hard-edge rocker with all the toppings!
Blasting guitars, tasty Rickenbacker bass, massive drums, a dirty harp solo, and a Hammond organ cherry on top, and you have a rock ‘n’ roll sundae that is the Makin Waves Song of the Week.
As the Makin Waves Song of the Week, “Endless Drool” also can be heard between 6 and 8 p.m. on July 25 on “Radio Jersey at ThePenguinRocks.com. If you miss it, you can tune in any time in the archives at The Penguin and Mixcloud.
Recorded at bassist-engineer and co-producer Dan Skye’s Skylab Studios in Roosevelt, the tune debuted at No. 7 on the Indie Aliance world top 100 chart, stayed in the Top 15 for five weeks and is hovering in the 54th spot after eight weeks.
“It started it out as a filler song but kind of grew on us,” said front man Wayne Olivieri, who co-produced the album with Dan and guitarist Gar Francis.
Signed to Bongo Boy Records, which Gar co-founded, The NEW Bardots areworking on their fourth full-length album, which should be out by summer’s end.
“We are all studio rats and seem to thrive in that environment the past five-and-a-half years with three full albums, four EPs, 16 singles and 15 videos,” Wayne said. “We hope to be doing a live gig soon so stand by for dates.”
Wayne also keeps busy with his memoir, “The Undiscovered Showman: A True Story of Being Almost Famous.”
