Jackson Pines and Heavy Mouth to Play Low Dive in Asbury Park on Friday

originally published: 05/08/2025

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- On Friday, May 9th, regional folk band Jackson Pines returns to Asbury Park as a full band for the first time since last summer. They'll be joining friends Heavy Mouth at Low Dive for a 9:00pm concert.

Last year Jackson Pines received accolades from Makin Waves for 2024 Album of the Year (Pine Barrens Vol. 2) and Band of the Year in New Jersey Stage and The Aquarian. After focusing mostly on acoustic and string band performances since January, Jackson Pines will have drums, fiddle, stand-up bass, and guitars humming on Friday night at this unique venue, located directly on the Asbury Park boardwalk.

Jackson Pines has been featured on PBS, NPR Music, and has been described by Billboard as introducing a "unique rustic flair to indie folk music."

Following them is Heavy Mouth, the new band from Matt Brown and Mike Rainone, who will also have their backing band in tow. Fresh off the release of their single and music video for "Good Friday", expect an energetic and exciting performance from some of the area's most talented performers.

Admission is free; no drink minimum. Low Dive is located at 1000 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
