(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The National Tour of Elf, the Musical comes to State Theatre New Jersey for five performances from November 14-16, 2025. Inspired by the hit film, this is the hilarious and heartwarming tale of Buddy, a young orphan child whose life is changed forever when he mistakenly crawls into Santa's sack of toys one Christmas Eve.
When he discovers he is human, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and, in turn, helps the Big Apple rediscover the true meaning of Christmas.
This all-new tour, based on the acclaimed 2024 Broadway production, was hailed by The New York Times claiming “The show has CRACKED THE CODE OF ALL-AGES COMEDY, the kind that will leave children and grown-ups equally helpless with laughter,” and celebrated in The New Yorker, “It’s enough to MAKE YOU BELIEVE IN THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS.” This modern-day holiday classic, says The Daily Beast, “is a gift for kids and adults, and a very ‘sparklejollytwinklejingley’ night out!"
Performances take place Friday, November 14 at 8:00pm; Saturday, November 15 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm; and Sunday, November 16 at 11:30am & 5:00pm. Limited tickets are available for purchase online or by calling State Theatre Guest Services at 732-246-SHOW (7469). State Theatre is located at 15 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
