Yep Roc Records unveils its Record Store Day lineup, a curated slate of anniversary editions, archival discoveries, and first-ever vinyl releases. From garage-rock and Americana classics to deeply moving final recordings and long-buried bootlegs, these limited releases will be available exclusively at select independent music retailers on Friday, April 18, 2026.  For a list of participating stores, please visit: www.recordstoreday.com.

Marshall Crenshaw – The Bootleg Sounds of Marshall Crenshaw: 1984-87Digging deep into his archives, Marshall Crenshaw curates a collection of previously unreleased recordings, demos, and live performances from the mid-1980s. Spanning 1984-1987, the album includes a cover of Buddy Holly’s “That’ll Be the Day” featuring Garry Tallent and Max Weinberg, demo versions of songs that would later appear on his third and fourth studio albums, live recordings from 1986-87, and other long-lost studio material. Released for the first time, the vinyl only release is pressed on brown vinyl and is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide.

Iris DeMent – The Way I Should  – 30th Anniversary Edition. For the first time ever, Iris DeMent’s 1996 masterpiece The Way I Should arrives on vinyl, newly remastered and pressed on summer sky color vinyl to mark its 30th anniversary. Balancing fearless political commentary with profound emotional intimacy, the album expanded DeMent’s folk and country roots into a fuller, more contemporary sound. Songs like “Wasteland of the Free” and “Quality Time” confront injustice and working-class struggle head-on, while quieter moments such as “When My Mornin’ Comes Around” and “Keep Me God” offer grace, resilience, and moral clarity. The album also features contributions from Delbert McClinton, Mark Knopfler, and Merle Haggard.

Dallas Good + Richard Reed Parry – Were The Watchtowers. This is the final recorded work of Dallas Good, completed before his unexpected passing in February 2022. Written and recorded slowly over more than a decade with Richard Reed Parry, the project captures a deeply collaborative, cosmic strain of psychedelic Americana. The album features guest appearances, including Neko Case, Kurt Vile, Yo La Tengo, Jim Jarmusch, John Doe, Jon Spencer, Scott McCaughey, Gary Louris, and Margaret Atwood. The closing track, “Not in This World,” brings together over 500 of Dallas Good’s friends and fans around the world, singing together on his final recorded song. Pressed on white vinyl and limited to 1,000 copies worldwide.

Bob Mould – Body of Song – 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition. A bold, electronic-leaning chapter in Bob Mould’s catalog, Body of Song remains a vital, forward-thinking record. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Body of Song expanded vinyl edition is pressed on sunburst splash color vinyl and features six bonus tracks that previously appeared only on a limited 2-CD deluxe edition and never before available on vinyl.

The Mooney Suzuki – People Get Ready – 25th Anniversary Edition. Long hailed as a blueprint for a generation of downtown New York bands, People Get Ready remains a defining document of a moment for rock music. Fully remastered and expanded into a deluxe  2LP, the set features all-new artwork, upgraded packaging, and is housed in a gatefold sleeve.  The first LP presents the original album pressed on yellow vinyl, and includes the rare track “I’m Not Talkin’.” The second LP captures a previously unreleased 1999 live performance at The Cooler in New York City, pressed on oil-spill white & black vinyl.

Yep Roc Records believes in the vision of each of their Artists. They strive to serve each project based on its unique characteristics. Through strong promotional and marketing efforts, their goal is to reach as large an audience as possible with each new release. Yep Roc was founded in 1997 by Tor Hansen and Glenn Dicker, and is exclusively distributed through Redeye Distribution.
