(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Strollers presents the children's show The Phantom Tollbooth by Susan Nanus, based on the beloved book by Norton Juster. Performances run across two weekends (January 27-29 and February 3-5).
In the play, a perpetually bored child is surprised to discover a tollbooth in their bedroom. Driving past the gate in a kid-sized electric car, they find themselves transported to a peculiar and pun-filled fantasy world. Accompanied by watchdog Tock, they set out on a strange journey, meeting intriguing characters along the way.
The cast includes: Mercer Barton-Griffin, Josh Belmonte, Otto Bowen, Rainer Charkow, Leo Hanson, Violet Hanson, Zuzanna Kenzler, Golan Mandel, Merav Mandel, Jenn Padley, Rich Pearson, Marcus Michaud, Beth Seales, Melissa Searcy, Lyla Siegel, Adar Tarbach, Minka Tarbach, and Joanna Weill. Performances take place at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts (10 Durand Road) in Maplewood, New Jersey.
