(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Following their sold-out season opener with James Maddock, renowned singer/songwriter Tim Easton will perform on Saturday, December 6, 2025, as season 2 of the Split Level Concerts series at Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove continues!  Quincy Mumford, stalwart of the Asbury Park music scene, will open the show. Showtime is at 8:00pm.

American songwriter Tim Easton, currently touring in support of his full-length LP, Find Your Way, was born on the Canadian border in upstate New York and spent his formative years living in Tokyo, Japan and Akron, Ohio.  Traveling early and often, he learned the ways of the road and rails and spent 7 years as a bona fide troubadour, making his way around Europe, playing the streets and clubs, living in Paris, London, Madrid, Prague, Dublin, and wherever he laid his hat.

During this period, Tim developed his songwriting style - folk based storytelling and personal traveling tales, often peppered with bold confessions or "tell it as it is" reality. Rolling Stone Magazine praised him as "having a novelist's sense of humanity."

Returning to his roots in North America, moving to New York City and then Los Angeles, he signed with New West Records and released five critically acclaimed solo albums starting with 2001's The Truth About Us, which featured three fourths of Wilco as the backing band. Invitations to be a support act from mentors Lucinda Williams and John Hiatt followed. Easton settled in the burgeoning art and music scene of Joshua Tree, California between worldwide tours.

After becoming a father and relocating to Nashville, Easton recorded an album for Thirty Tigers (Not Cool 2013), which accented the stripped down Memphis & Sun Studios sound of the Tennessee Three. His next album, 2016's American Fork, was a grand departure from his previous efforts, featuring a fully flushed out backing band with elaborate song arrangements.

Then came Paco & The Melodic Polaroids, a stripped down, direct to lacquer LP of love songs to his beloved guitar, a Gibson J-45 named "Paco." That was followed up with 2020's full band recording You Don't Really Know Me, beginning a new relationship with Oklahoma based Black Mesa Records, which re-released Not Cool and Easton's solo debut Special 20 on vinyl. A twenty song interim project called North American Songwriter arrived early in 2023. This double LP--the first two volumes in a series-- features acoustic recordings of favorite songs from his vast catalog of original material.

Although he currently resides in Nashville, you are more likely to catch up with Tim on the road.

Advance tickets are $30 ($35 on day of show) and are available for purchase online. The Jersey Shore Arts Center is located at 66 South Main Street in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.

Opening the night is Quincy Mumford, a genre-blending singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Asbury Park, New Jersey, whose music fuses soul, funk, hip-hop, and surf-inspired R&B into a sound that’s both laid-back and deeply groove-driven. Growing up in the beach town of Allenhurst, Mumford’s early years were shaped by surfing, skateboarding, and a love for artists like Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, and D’Angelo—elements that continue to inform his musical identity.

Since his debut in 2008, Mumford has released multiple albums and EPs, including his latest project, Welcome to the Lab (2024). Born from pandemic-era creativity in his home studio, Lifted Laboratory, the EP features collaborations with Grammy-nominated producer David Alastre and showcases Mumford’s evolution into a more experimental, beat-driven sound. Tracks like “Focus” and “Breakfast in Bed” blend personal storytelling with lush production, reflecting his growth as both a songwriter and producer.

Mumford’s music has garnered over 12 million streams and landed him on Spotify’s Viral 50 charts—#2 in the U.S. and #1 in Portugal. He’s been featured on major playlists like Fresh Finds, Butter, and Feel Good Dinner, and has received airplay on KCRW and BBC. His 2025 single “Smile,” a collaboration with producer Boyan, was praised for its neo-soul warmth and emotional depth.

A dynamic live performer, Mumford has toured extensively across the U.S. and Europe, including a recent solo tour in Sweden. He’s played major festivals like Sea.Hear.Now, Firefly, and Gathering of the Vibes, and has shared stages with acts like Slightly Stoopid and G. Love.

Beyond music, Mumford is a dedicated community advocate, having raised over $400,000 for nonprofits and environmental causes. His connection to the ocean and surf culture remains central to his identity, both personally and artistically.
