(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Saint hosts the 10 Year Anniversary Show for Lightning Jar on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 7:00pm. Openers Anthony Walker & the Medicine Chest, along with Gary Pomeroy, give this special show a terrific lineup.
In an email sent to their fanbase, Lightning Jar explained how the show came together. "In the fall of 2021, the Lightning Jar crew found ourselves together for the first time in years. Jason was getting married, and at the dinner tables we shared stories from our time together in music.
"Soon, we became aware that it had been almost 10 years since the release of our LP, So Long Traveler. We agreed this was a good time to celebrate. So here we are. We are so proud of this time and excited to share again with old friends."
Fresh off the hiking trails of New Zealand, Jason Pomeroy and Nathan Maier returned home to the U.S. with a handful of songs and a renewed passion for creating music. After reuniting with an old friend Sean Marshall and relocating to the coastal city of Asbury Park, Lightning Jar was formed. They began composing together a series of folk songs that became their acclaimed 2012 release, So Long Traveler.
"Hard to believe it's been 10 years since Lightning Jar released our debut LP, So Long Traveler. In our short time together, Lightning Jar found success as one of New Jersey's premier acoustic acts. In 2012, we were nominated for multiple Asbury Music Awards and won the 'Best Band' category at the JAMs. Join us back where so much of that chapter occurred: The SAINT in Asbury Park. We cannot wait to see so many familiar faces," Lightning Jar.
Tickets are $12 and available for purchase online. The show is open to all aged 18 and up.
The Saint is located at 601 Main Street in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
