Learn about the Women of the E Street Band at the Plumsted Library on March 9th

originally published: 02/17/2026

Melissa Ziobro

(NEW EGYPT, NJ) -- Calling all Bruce fans! Melissa Ziobro, Curator of the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music, will present "Women of the E Street Band" on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Plumsted Branch of the Ocean County Library. The event begins at 6:30pm.

The “core” members of Bruce Springsteen’s famed E Street Band over time are generally listed as Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan, Max Weinberg, Steven Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren, Clarence Clemons, Danny Federici, David Sancious, Vini Lopez, and Ernest “Boom” Carter. The band would not be what it is today, however, if not for a number of strong and talented, but too-often-overlooked, women.

This multimedia talk will explore the likes of Adele Springsteen, Marion Vinyard, Barbara Dinkins, Dee Holmes, Suki Lahav, Patti Scialfa, Soozie Tyrell, and others who have supported and shaped the E Street Band from its pre-history to the present.

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Plumsted Library.

Registration is required for this free program. To register, visit tinyurl.com/PlumstedEStreet, call 609-758-7888, or stop by the branch at 119 Evergreen Road, New Egypt.
