Forever King Clark to Release "Five Dollar Yacht Club" EP

originally published: 08/08/2025

There's a new club and they want to let everybody in. Asbury Park Indie Rockers, Forever King Clark have announced their new EP entitled,"Five Dollar Yacht Club".

According to band leader Bobby Kallok,”After years wading through the Asbury Park music community we really wanted to create a release centered around the idea of belonging in the scene and beyond. That’s why we decided to combine the concept of the exclusive yacht club with the low barrier of the five dollar entry”. To bring this concept to life, Forever King Clark recorded five tracks at DIMM in downtown Freehold over the winter.

“For this release we really wanted to strike a balance between not being too aggressive but not too chill with our blend of 60’s surf rock and modern indie”, says keyboardist Dan Baumgarten. With a broader set of textures at their disposal Forever King Clark has managed to make this vision a reality as seen on lead single,”Sitting Out On The Patio”.

In addition to the EP, fans can enjoy a number of other amenities of the “Five Dollar Yacht Club”. Members will receive their club membership card, access to the club website, and invitations to the events happening in 2025 to coincide with the EP’s launch.

Be sure to check out “Five Dollar Yacht Club” when it is released on August 22nd!

For those unacquainted with Forever King Clark the band started it’s life as a solo project of Bobby Kallok as a student at Rowan University. After graduating he went on to assemble a full band including the talents of Amy Evans on bass, John Michael Monroy on drums, and most recently Dan Baumgarten on keys. Together they have played shows in Asbury Park, Brooklyn, and the rest of the Jersey Shore as well as performed at events such as Shore Point Record’s Local Summer Release, Telegraph Hill’s What A Wonderful Year Festival, WTSR Underground, and the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C.
