Texas-based powerhouse rock band Taken By Tides has released the single, "A Thousand Lives." The track was released along with an accompanying cinematic music video that deepens the song's emotional resonance.

Fusing raw emotion with their unmistakably bold, genre-defying sound, Taken By Tides continues to carve a name for themselves in the independent music scene. Known for pushing sonic and lyrical boundaries, the band taps into deeply personal territory on “A Thousand Lives,” a song born in the heart of winter while grappling with the loss of someone close to them.

“This song is about doing anything for a loved one. When you lose someone in life, it's easy to be in denial. The lyrics speak about enduring the end of the world and restarting life a thousand times in hopes of ending in the same universe as them again,” shares frontman Omar Martinez.

The release follows the band’s explosive single “Ghost Vibrations,” a cathartic reflection on years of uncertainty and creative hunger, and their critically praised 2024 EP It Ends With You.

“A Thousand Lives” was produced with Drew Sullivan in Louisville, KY and written in their home studio in Texas by members Omar Martinez, Guillermo Rodriguez, Jack Strunk, and Jayden Castillon, underscoring their hands-on approach and creative control.
