originally published: 12/27/2022

(WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Lakehouse Music Academy presents Rhythm at Monmouth University's Lauren K. Woods Theater on Saturday, January 21, 2023. The event runs from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. This is an intensive drum and percussion experience hosted by the head of Lakehouse Music Academy's drum program, Steve Honoshowsky. Featuring special guests, solos, duets, and group performances from the Academy's drum students and instructors, as well as the members of the Monmouth University Pep Band Drum Line.

All proceeds go to the Asbury Park Music Foundation - an organization with 10 years of providing life-changing music programs to under resourced youth giving them confidence, discipline and relationship building skills that improve their future success and economic mobility, preserving Asbury Park’s rich musical legacy, bringing the community together for free, live music and supporting musicians with opportunities to perform in the city by the sea.

Only 75 seats are available, first-come-first-served. Tickets are available $25 and available for purchase online only. Lauren K Woods Theatre is located at 400 Cedar Avenue in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Lakehouse Music Academy (LHMA) is a progressive music school, featuring group rehearsals, individual lessons, and live performances at Asbury Park’s world-famous music venues. Their program is committed to the development of comprehensive musicianship for every student, at every level, at every age.

The Lakehouse team employs various teaching methods built around each student’s particular musical interests and goals. Students have the opportunity to hone their skills in live performance, private study, original songwriting, recording, engineering, production, theory, and business/marketing. Their holistic approach to music education allows them to introduce the undeniable power of music to young children, to inspire adults to Join the Band and take the stage, and to produce the most prepared teenage musicians for today’s music industry. LHMA alumni are currently pursuing their musical dreams at some of the country’s strongest music programs – including Berklee College of Music, University of the Arts, Rutgers University, and more.
