Grunin Center presents Taylor Simon King on May 9th

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Grunin Center for the Arts presents Taylor Simon King - Celebrating Three American Troubadours on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 7:30pm. The show features James Gedeon, Lisa Sherman, and Alice Leon paying tribute to James Taylor, Carly Simon, and Carole King. Limited tickets remain.

“How Sweet It Is”, “Country Road”, “Shower The People”, “Anticipation”, “You’re So Vain”, “Mockingbird”, “I Feel the Earth Move”, “It’s Too Late”, and “You’ve Got A Friend”.

These are just a few of the fantastic songs you’ll hear when you see the tribute “Three American Troubadours” in concert.   This memorable tribute production celebrates the lives and careers of 6-time Grammy winner James Taylor, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Carly Simon with 13 top 40 hits, and Carole King who wrote or co-wrote 118 Billboard Hot 100 pop hits– 3 iconic American singer/songwriters whose personal lives and careers have intertwined throughout the years, and whose memorable hit songs continue to offer ageless inspiration.

Three American Troubadours features: Lisa Sherman, a Broadway veteran who has shared the stage with Broadway Royalty;  renowned vocalist and actress Alice Leon; and the gifted singer and guitarist James Gedeon, whose interpretation of James Taylor is genuinely remarkable. The band members have performed with such notable acts as The E Street Band, Loggins & Messina, Bon Jovi, South Side Johnny, America, Billy Joel, and many more.

A limited number of tickets are available for purchase online. Grunin Center for the Arts is located on the Ocean County College (College Drive) in Toms River, New Jersey.

deliver the classic hits, with unique arrangements of fan favorites, engaging storytelling and multimedia projections to enhance the entire concert experience.

Produced by Oscar and Golden Globe winner Franke Previte, co-writer of “(I’ve Had)The Time of My Life” and “Hungry Eyes” from the movie "Dirty Dancing" and managed by Lee Shapiro, former music director of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

For 60 years, Ocean County College, a public two-year community college sponsored by Ocean County and the State of New Jersey, has provided area residents with the opportunity to benefit from higher education.
