bergenPAC presents Almost Queen on Saturday

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents Almost Queen. They don't just pay tribute to the legendary band, Almost Queen transports you back in time to experience the magic and essence of Queen themselves. Showtime is 8:00pm.

This deliberate four piece band is "guaranteed to blow your mind" with iconic four-part harmonies and expertly executed musical interludes. Almost Queen's impressive tribute to the legendary band is nothing short of breathtaking. 

The band's authenticity shines through in their impeccable attention to detail and genuine costumes, while their live energy and precision will leave music fans of all ages with an unforgettable concert.

Tickets range from $49-$99 and are available for purchase online or by calling the Box Office at 201-227-1030. Bergen Performing Arts Center is located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey.

The band includes Joseph Russo, Steve Leonard, Randy Gregg, and John Cappadona.

Joseph Russo (Lead Vocals / Piano) - Joe's love for Freddie and Queen started when he won tickets to see them at Nassau Coliseum at the age of 10. As a musical theatre performer, he has proven his talent with lead roles in productions of Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Hair, both in the US and Europe.

Steve Leonard (Lead Guitar) - Steve first discovered Queen while attending a Mets game at Shea Stadium. As the bases were loaded, it was "We Will Rock You" that caught his attention! He's into songwriting, recording, and really digs playing the guitar. Check out Steve's latest album "The Good Wheel". "Be Like Alfonso" and give it a listen!

Randy Gregg (Bass) - Randy has performed on stages across the globe with world touring rock bands. Besides playing bass in Almost Queen, he mostly just watches Star Wars and listens to Cheap Trick.

John Cappadona (Drums) - John is an absolute monster behind the drum set and a natural showman on the throne. He has an infectious energy that always keeps the audience entertained. John's exceptional talent and passion for music stands out, and Almost Queen fans know what a a joy it is to watch him do what he does best.

Founded in 2003, the 1,367-seat Bergen Performing Arts Center, or bergenPAC, is the area’s cultural mecca. Housed in a historic Art Deco-style theater boasting one of the finest acoustic halls in the United States, bergenPAC attracts a stellar roster of world-class entertainment.

The jewel in their crown is The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC – the innovative, educational performing arts initiative that, through programs, classes, outreach, school shows, and main theater presented shows, reach more than 30,000 students and community youth annually. The Performing Arts School provides community youth, age 2 months to 21 years, with unique, “hands-on” training in music, dance and theater by industry professionals.
