(PARK RIDGE, NJ) -- Two Bergen County musical mainstays – WigJam and Particle Theory – will be plugging in Saturday, December 11, at the Park Ridge Elks Lodge in a benefit for the non-profit Push to Walk. The fifth annual Murphy/Donovan Holiday Party runs from 7:00pm to 11:00pm and the donation is $75, which includes buffet dinner, bottled beer and wine in addition to the music.
“I cannot wait until Dec. 11 to see old friends and meet some new ones,” says event organizer Gene Murphy, an Oradell native now living in Old Tappan. “It’s like a reunion for the Northern Valley and Oradell and River Edge, as that’s where these bands are from, and our holiday party gets bigger and better each year.”
Tickets information is available here. The Elks Lodge is located at 13 Sulak Lane in Park Ridge, New Jersey.
WigJam is one of New Jersey’s leading Grateful Dead tribute bands and includes Jon Silliato, Artie Toufayan and Clay Cassel. Particle Theory features Greg Terlizzi, Lee Baronian and Toufayan pulling double duty for December 11.
Wheelchair-bound due to spinal tumors, Murphy serves as a board member for Push to Walk. The organization is based in Oakland and provides individualized workouts and resources to people with spinal-cord injuries and other forms of paralysis. The goal is to optimize quality of life for clients and to prepare them for future medical advancements.
