(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Good Good Comedy Theatre’s sell-out show Weeding Out The Stoned - The Game Show of Sobriety Tests is coming to New Jersey for the very first time! Philadelphia’s popular game show is hitting WFMU’s Monty Hall in Jersey City on Saturday January 20. Join in the celebration of legalization with the show where comedians play games in order for audience members to win candy, prizes, and awesome shit.
Weeding Out The Stoned is the game show of sobriety tests. Sixteen comedians enter. All but one of them are stoned. It’s up to everyone to find the sober individual so the entire audience can win prizes. Host Alex Grubard administers field sobriety tests, both mental and physical, to the region’s premier drug-induced comics as we all seek justice by weeding out the stoned. Alex Grubard and producer Aaron Nevins conjure up the most uncomfortable and silly games to play with hilarious comedians, personalities, and other criminals. Phindie.com called the show, “Highly entertaining,” and has been featured in USA Today, Splitsider, Rooster Magazine, Denver Westward, Philadelphia Inquirer and more.
Good Good Comedy Theatre is Philadelphia's first high-concept, high-octane, interactive, comedy theatre providing the very best in fun, subversive, cheap comedic entertainment. In 2014 founders Kate Banford and Aaron Nevins hosted the first Five Dollar Comedy Week and have opened up shop at 215 N. 11th Street in Philadelphia seven nights a week. Splitsider calls Good Good Comedy, “great not only for the audience, but also for the community of comedians in Philadelphia.”
