1) NBPAC Presents Hasan Minhaj In August - (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) presents comedian Hasan Minhaj from August 19-22 as he showcases and prepares material for his new one man show in an intimate setting. 

2) “My Happy Place!” Freestyle at the Beach LIVE! in Seaside Heights, NJ with Lisa Lisa and Friends - The world-famous Seaside Heights boardwalk is packed this Saturday, August 7, 2021 evening as the sun begins to set over the Jersey shore. Happy screams can be heard emanating from the Tilt-A-Whirl and Skyscraper rides on Casino Pier, and vacationers can be seen enjoying cheesy pizza and tasty ice cream treats while strolling the boards, but the main attraction that has people lined up with beach chairs and blankets is tonight’s Freestyle at the Beach concert starring Lisa Lisa, George Lamond, Judy Torres, and DJ Whiteboy.

3) Trilogy Repertory Presents “Annie” at Pleasant Valley Park - (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- As the second production in Bernards Township’s “Plays in the Park” summer series, Trilogy Repertory Company will produce the popular musical “Annie.”  The show  will run on  August 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, and 28, at the outdoor amphitheater at Pleasant Valley Park, Valley Road, in Basking Ridge, at 8:00pm each evening.  The shows are free to the public, but donations to support this program sponsored by the Bernards Township Department of Recreation are gratefully accepted.   

4) Newark Symphony Hall and Newark Alliance Host ‘Production Assistant’ Training Program for Young Adults Aspiring to Work in TV, Film - (NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark Symphony Hall (NSH) has joined forces with the Newark Alliance to host a free job training program for aspiring production assistants. The program – exclusive to Newark residents – is part of NSH’s new Training Academy to help people build careers in arts and entertainment. Participants will learn from successful Newark natives Jamila Jordan-Theus, Head of Motion Picture for Genius Entertainment and Kenneth Gifford, founder of the Newark International Film Festival.
