(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The public is invited to hear “From Grandmother's Kitchen Table: Oral Histories from the Mississippi Delta,” a virtual presentation featuring Pamela Walker, Tuesday, March 30 from 1:00pm-2:20pm. The program is being sponsored by the Raritan Valley Community College Women’s Center.
Pamela Walker is a PhD in History candidate at Rutgers University. Her work examines the relationship between rural Black and white women, motherhood, civil rights, sympathy, and social consciousness in 1960s-era social movements. During the program, she will share the findings and insights from her experiences conducting oral histories with rural Black women in the Mississippi Delta.
