For over 10 years, New Jersey musician and Lupus sufferer, Catherine Wacha, has been presenting ‘Rock The Lup’ benefit concerts in the Garden State to raise money for the Lupus Research Alliance. This year, the annual event, gets even bigger as she has partnered with New Jersey Internet radio station BlowUpRadio.com to present a webathon on June 2nd a concert at Espresso Joe's in Keyport on June 9th. As part of the annual event, the Rock The Lup’ compilation, will this year feature previously unreleased songs from over 30 New Jersey indie artists.

The first concert will be broadcast live on BlowUpRadio.com on Saturday June 2nd. Beginning at 3:00pm, 11 New Jersey acts will perform acoustically during the 7 hour webathon. Information on how listeners can donate to the Lupus Research Alliance will be broadcast during the concert. Performing that day will be: Amanda Rose Riley, Bobby Mahoney, Catherine Wacha, Don Lee, Evil Annie, Frank Patrouch, Kim Boyko, Peter Klein (Blisstique), Rick Dill, Rob Jennings, and Shotgun Bill.
The second concert will be a special ‘Rock The Lup’ BlowUpRadio.com Guitar Pull at Espresso Joe’s in Keyport, NJ on Saturday June 9th. The BlowUpRadio.com Guitar Pull happens on the second Saturday of every month at Espresso Joe’s, and features three musicians sitting round-robin style, swapping songs and stories. An acoustic act opens each show. For this special show ‘Rock the Lup’ organizer Catherine Wacha will be perform along side Diego Allessandro and Tony Tedesco, with Wynward going unplugged to open the show.
In addition to the two live music shows, Volume 9 of the "Rock The Lup" compilation album, will also raise money for the Lupus Research Alliance.
