Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company presents "A Christmas Carol" In Historic Smithville

(ABSECON, NJ) -- "Dickens Fest" is coming to Historic Smithville, highlighted by Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company performing an original musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol November 27-28. Admission is free. With a sensational cast of all ages from NJ and PA, a phenomenal set, transformational lighting and fantastic colorful costumes, you can count on the comedic touch of Riddlesbrood to make this resplendent, full scale original family friendly musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic one of the most entertaining highlights of your holiday season. All Ages Show!

You and your family and friends are invited to join them for this immortal heartwarming tale of Ebenezer Scrooge's journey from greed to redemption that will surely raise your spirits and warm the cockles of your heart as you travel through time with the Ghosts of Christmas and witness the ultimate transformation of this miserly old skinflint into jolly Father Christmas, himself! 

Performed on Riddlesbrood’s large, decorative, portable stage built in response to COVID restrictions on indoor theater, along with several other outdoor stages set up on The Green, the family friendly shows will be on Saturday, November 27th at 1:00pm & 7:00pm and Sunday, November 28th at 1:00pm. Admission is free and parking is free.

The cast of the shows include actors from the Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company troupe along with many children of all ages from the community.

The historic Towne of Smithville will be bustling with activity during the "Dickens Fest". Its 60 charming specialty shops, the award-winning historic Smithville Inn restaurant and 3 other restaurants within the village will all be open to visit and enjoy before, during intermissions or after the shows.

For added entertainment, The Smithville Train and The Smithville Carousel, two timeless attractions that evoke romance, adventure and playful fun, will also be open and running both days for children and adults to ride and share an unforgettable experience.
